I completed this course to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity and understand how security practices directly impact organizations. Through the course, I learned how cyber threats can disrupt operations, damage reputations, and cause financial loss, which reinforced the importance of proactive security measures.

I developed the ability to identify common risks, threats, and vulnerabilities such as phishing attacks, malware, insider threats, and system misconfigurations. I also learned practical techniques to mitigate these risks, including system hardening, access control, network monitoring, and incident response planning.

A key part of my learning focused on protecting networks, devices, users, and data from unauthorized access and cyberattacks. I gained hands-on experience using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to monitor logs, detect suspicious activity, and respond to potential security incidents in real time. This helped me understand how security teams manage and investigate threats effectively.

Technically, I strengthened my skills in Python, Linux, and SQL. I used Python for scripting and automation, Linux for system administration and security tasks, and SQL for querying and analyzing data during investigations. I also developed practical skills in debugging, system hardening, intrusion detection and prevention, cyber threat intelligence, and computer security incident management.

Overall, this course enhanced both my technical and analytical skills, giving me practical experience in cybersecurity tools and processes while improving my understanding of how to respond to and prevent cyberattacks in an organizational environment.
